About the Book:
Sofia Valdez is a young, second grade girl who loves to help. She helps the elderly. She helps the town. She helps animals. One day, she and her Abuelo take the dog for a walk. The dog sees a squirrel and chases it. When Abuelo chases the dog, he runs into a huge trash heap and hurts himself. Sofia becomes determined to convert the trash heap into a park, but first she has to face a heap of obstacles. Can she do it?
