“Big thanks to Alicia Salazar for visiting Warren County Public Library! Her Camila series was a huge hit for our students. We loved the way she featured her Mexican American heritage in her presentation, also giving students a chance to share the things they love and the place where they live. Alicia’s personal love of books, reading, and storytelling shines through, and her interaction with students allows them to brainstorm their own challenges and ways to overcome them so they can be a star, just like Camila!”    –Warren County Public Library

“We LOVED having Ms. Salazar visit our library! The students really enjoyed her book and they had fun seeing how they could relate to the character, Camila! They could not wait to get these books from the library after! Thank you for helping us to develop a love of reading in our kids…your visit brought excitement and joy to reading!”   –Ashley Lee, Houser Elementary School

Thank you for writing such fantastic stories. My only hope is that you will write a similar series for boys.” — Maria Villa, Farias Elementary School
