About the Book:
An alligator snapping turtle is the main character of A Mouthful of Minnows. His name is Alphonso and he loves to fish. In fact, he has a tongue that looks like a worm so that he can lure fish to his open mouth. Alphonso is looking forward to his next meal. He finds the perfect spot to camouflage himself and wait for an unsuspecting fish. One comes along, but Alphonso himself is lured by the promise of more and more and more fish. So, he waits. Will Alphonso get his meal?
